Mary Delaney Krugman: Mary Delaney Krugman, J.D., M.S.H.P., is President and Principal Historic Preservation Specialist of Mary Delaney Krugman Associates, Inc. (MDKA), which was founded in 1995 and is based in Montclair, NJ. She specializes in architectural history; historical research; and technical assistance in regulatory compliance related to historic properties. After Hurricane Sandy Ms. Krugman took a temporary leave from MDKA to work as a Sr. Historic Preservation Specialist with FEMA-NJ. She has since returned to her consulting practice.

This blog began in 2010, when Ms. Krugman embarked on a 5-week study tour of the Western National Parks. The trip traced the route of the 1920 National Park-to-Park Highway Dedication Tour, which promoted public appreciation of the first U.S. national parks by automobile. Since then, she has continued her explorations of the United States and elsewhere from her unique perspective as an architectural historian and historic preservation specialist.
